Black Chesterfield sofas
Black is the least traditional and the most architectural leather we make. On a deep-buttoned Chesterfield it does something specific: it removes the antique reading almost entirely and leaves the silhouette, which is why it is the one most often chosen for offices and modern interiors.
How it ages
Effectively colour-stable. What changes is the surface — black hide develops a soft sheen on the seat and arms with use, which is the only visible ageing you will get.
What it sits well with
Steel, concrete, glass and monochrome rooms. It is also the safest choice for a commercial or trade setting, where consistency across replacements matters more than character.
